Good Boy Ben SMS Terms and Conditions
These terms govern the optional Good Boy Ben Safety Net text-message program operated by QLG Media Ltd. The general Good Boy Ben Terms of Service cover the rest of the app and service.
Program purpose
Good Boy Ben Safety Net sends private, transactional check-in alerts to up to three trusted contacts in supported countries selected by a Premium app user. The United States, Canada and United Kingdom are currently supported. If a scheduled dose is still not confirmed after the selected grace period, each active contact may receive a message asking them to check in with the person who invited them. The program sends no marketing or promotional texts.
Opt-in
The app user must first ask the trusted contact for permission and confirm that permission in the app. The recipient then receives a one-time invitation and must reply YES <unique six-character code> before alerts can be enabled. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing the Good Boy Ben app or any other goods or services.
Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies. The Safety Net allowance shown in the app is shared across all recipients: currently up to 20 medication check-in texts per calendar month, not 20 per contact, plus occasional invitations or consent confirmations. Message and data rates may apply according to each recipient's mobile plan.
Automated check-in alerts require an active Premium entitlement. For safety, they pause if the app installation has not checked in with Good Boy Ben for seven days. Opening the app or confirming a reminder renews that check-in automatically.
Stopping and restarting messages
- Reply STOP to opt out.
- Reply START or UNSTOP to remove a toll-free carrier block and re-subscribe.
- Reply HELP for standard assistance, or email [email protected].
An app user can pause or remove individual trusted contacts, or delete all Safety Net contacts and schedules in the app. Pausing, resuming or removing a contact does not itself send a text.
Uninstalling does not immediately tell our service to stop or cancel store billing. Turn off Safety Net or delete its data while connected before uninstalling. Otherwise alerts may remain eligible until the seven-day check-in expires or Premium ends. A text already handed to a carrier cannot be recalled. Family & Friends membership does not subscribe anyone to SMS; shared meal and walk checklists do not trigger Safety Net texts.
No medical or emergency service
Good Boy Ben is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe, verify that medication was administered, or provide medical monitoring or emergency response. It is not a substitute for professional medical or veterinary advice.
Messages say that a dose is “not confirmed”; they do not assert that a dose was missed. Delivery is not guaranteed. Mobile outages, device connectivity, delayed syncing, carrier filtering or other technical failures may delay a message, prevent delivery, or cause an alert even when a dose was taken but its confirmation had not synced.
Privacy
Our SMS Privacy Policy explains how we protect phone numbers and consent records. Mobile information and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
