Good Boy Ben SMS Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy covers the optional Good Boy Ben Safety Net text-message program operated by QLG Media Ltd. The general Good Boy Ben Privacy Policy covers the rest of the app.

Mobile information and SMS consent records are not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we process

When an app user invites up to three trusted contacts, we process:

Our Safety Net database does not store SMS message bodies. Twilio and carriers necessarily process message content for delivery and may retain it under their service and compliance arrangements. Safety Net does not send or store medication names, doses, profile names, diagnoses or medical notes. Family & Friends is a separate sharing feature covered by the general Privacy Policy.

How we use the information

We use this information only to send the consent invitation, confirm a valid opt-in reply, deliver an eligible medication check-in alert, process STOP requests, prevent duplicate messages, enforce the 20-alert monthly limit, and investigate delivery failures or abuse.

Consent and control

The app user must confirm that the trusted contact agreed to receive an invitation. The recipient must then reply YES <unique code> before Safety Net can be enabled. Recipients may reply STOP at any time. Toll-free re-subscription uses START or UNSTOP. Reply HELP for assistance.

Service providers and international processing

Twilio processes phone numbers and message delivery data to provide SMS delivery and carrier compliance. Cloudflare provides the server and database infrastructure for Safety Net. These providers process information under their own contractual and security obligations. Data may be processed outside the UK; where required, we use legally recognised transfer safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Safety Net contact data is retained while the feature is configured so we can respect consent and opt-out state. The app user can pause or remove individual contacts, or delete all contacts and Safety Net schedules in the app. Automated alerts also pause if the app installation has not checked in for seven days or no longer has an active Premium entitlement. A recipient's STOP request is recorded to prevent further messages. Twilio and mobile carriers may retain compliance and block-list records under their own legal obligations.

Uninstalling or cancelling a subscription does not itself delete Safety Net records. Use the in-app deletion control while connected or contact us. Uninstalling is not detected immediately, so eligible alerts can continue until the check-in expires or entitlement ends unless you disable Safety Net first.

Security

Phone numbers are encrypted at rest. Authentication secrets and encryption keys are kept separately from app code. We minimise logs and do not place phone numbers, medication details or message bodies in application logs.
