Good Boy Ben is a pill reminder app designed with data minimisation as a core principle. This policy explains, in plain English, what data the app handles, when data leaves your device, and what you can do about it.
By default, everything stays on your phone. If you choose to use The Pack — an optional premium feature for sharing reminders with family — we store an account and a daily adherence summary (not pill names or doses) on our UK-based server. You can leave the Pack, delete your account, and wipe your data at any time.
Good Boy Ben stores the following data locally on your phone, in the app's private storage:
The pill names, doses, and notes never leave your device under any circumstances. They are not uploaded to our server, not shared with your Pack, and not visible to anyone else.
The Pack is an optional premium feature that lets you share your daily adherence with up to four other people — for example, a caregiver, family member, or fellow pet parent. If (and only if) you create or join a Pack, we store the following on our UK-based server at api.goodboyben.app:
This data is retained for as long as you are a member of a Pack, and deleted when you leave the Pack or delete your account.
Adherence data is "special category data" under Article 9 GDPR (data concerning health). Our legal basis is your explicit consent, given when you create or join a Pack. Consent is genuinely optional — the rest of the app works fully without an account. You can withdraw consent at any time by leaving the Pack or deleting your account.
Subscription purchases are handled by Google Play Billing and, for entitlement tracking, RevenueCat. We do not see your card details. Google and RevenueCat process limited data (device id, anonymous purchase token, country) under their own privacy policies.
Good Boy Ben has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no third-party behavioural trackers. We have no interest in your activity beyond what's strictly required to deliver the features you asked for.

Good Boy Ben is suitable for all ages but The Pack and account features are only for users aged 16 and over in the UK/EU. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we change this policy materially we will update the "Last updated" date and notify users of any material change in the app.
